Windows 95/98 Setup
1. On your desktop, double-click the My Computer icon
2. Inside the My Computer window, double-click the Dial-up Networking folder
3. After clicking the Dial-up Networking folder, you will see one of two things. If you see a message stating "Dial-up Networking enables you to connect one computer to another..." Click next If you do not see this message, you should see an icon that says Make New Connection. Double-click this icon 4. After clicking the Make New Connection icon, you will be asked to Type the name of the computer you are dialing. Enter Internet Galaxy.
5. Click Next 6. Enter your local access number in the Telephone number field 7. Click Next 8. Click Finish
9. After clicking Finish, you will see the Dial-up Networking window which will now contain the new Internet Galaxy icon you have just created. Using your Right mouse button, click one time on the Internet Galaxy icon and select Properties.
10. Click on the Server Types tab 11. Uncheck all boxes except for TCP/IP (enable software compression is optional).
12. Click OK 13. After clicking OK, you should be brought back to the Dial-up Networking window where you now have a new Internet Galaxy icon. Using your Right mouse button, click one time on the Internet Galaxy icon and select Create Shortcut.
14. You will receive an error message. Click Yes
15. You can now close any open windows. On your Desktop, you will have a new Shortcut to Internet Galaxy icon.
16. Double-click the Shortcut icon. Enter your Username and Password (Usernames and Passwords are case sensitive). Click the connect button. Once connected, open your web browsing software. |
